Onze laatste scholarship studente die begint in 2023 is Martha Macford. Zij zit nu in Form 2.
I am Martha Macford. I am 16 years old, born on October 12, 2008 in a family of 4 children. Both my parents are alive. They managed to send me to St Lawrence believing all factors will be constant until the natural disaster, the floods, hit and changed all settlings. We lost our house and the gardens got filled with sand, making farming impossible and survival close to impossible.
The Foundation through Mr Moyo came in time and I got hope again. My life is going on so well. Problems will always be there but God knows how to deal with them.
In school I have many friends who make me feel comfortable. We assist each other especially in class work. We always encourage each other to work very hard. I play netball.
Teachers and friends have been very helpful in school work. Some subjects seem tough but with teachers around one gets a ready help. I always put myself together and come up with right decisions on how I can improve in those subjects.
And then we have Mr Moyo. One very good teacher, teaches well and has our welfare at heart. He is very kind, loves us scholarship students and all other learners too. He is a dad to many.
Other teachers are good too. I have Miss Naomi Chiwaya, the Headteacher, as my role model. She’s so kind too. All other teachers work hard and they advise us in a right way.
Lastly I want to register my appreciation to the Foundation for paying my tuition. To be honest, I was very desperate but God sent the Foundation to me. I ask God to bless all Board members of the Foundation because I am surviving in school because of their effort.
